Using the Patch Tool in PS

One of my favorite tools in the PS tool box has to be the Patch tool. It was so intimidating for so long, I avoided it like the plague. Finally, I decided to google it and learn it. It has been a much used tool in my tool box ever since. I know that some photographer prefer not to alter their photos and others love to jazz them up in all sorts of ways. I land in the middle somewhere. Each photographer has an idea, an inspiration for how they want a photo to come out and sometimes it takes photoshop to make that happen.

The beauty of the Patch tool is that you can remove unwanted items, scratches and such from your photos. Heck, I have even removed people! There is a little learning curve if the item you are removing isn’t stand alone, like the scratch in this video. I hope that this will inspire others to use more tools and try new things!
